Clarity Is Power

Clarity is Power.

It’s the foundation of a six layer process for building the life that you say that you want. It’s the Power that drives the rest of the process to getting where you want to be.

The six layers are:

Clarity=>Competence=>Confidence=>Influence=>Impact=and, Income.

Without Clarity, the rest (Competence, Confidence, Influence, Impact, and Income) aren’t going to happen.

Most people believe that if they could just get enough Confidence, they could really get some traction and achieve their life dreams in no time. It never quite happens, does it?

The reason is that Confidence is a by-product of Clarity and Competence. Without them, Confidence doesn’t seem to happen.

It’s like the foundation of a house. Without a strong foundation, the house would eventually collapse.

You can see that in older homes where the foundation is cracking and the floors are not level. They have to be leveled every now and then, or the walls will crack and come apart.

You can also see that with some homes built on the side of hills. Regardless of how well the house is built, underneath the house is unstable. Someone didn’t do their due diligence. I’ve seen pictures of the house with half of it smeared on the side of the hill and the other half still standing.

Don’t be that guy.

Strangely enough, that’s how so many people build their lives.

I recall reading an article in the paper a few years ago in which the author said that most people spend more time researching the purchase of a car or a house than they do a spouse.

So true! They’re not clear about the spouse they’re really looking for.

The majority of people I meet are struggling because they don’t know where they’re going. They struggle with anxiety, depression, difficulty in relationships, and not making enough money.

Sound familiar?

The number one reason people struggle is that they lack Clarity.

Clarity begins with a Vision. A Vision is just some sense of what you want things to look like in the future.

At first, it doesn’t have to be very clear. Start out as vague as you want. Just start with something.

With the process of a few powerful questions, your vision can begin to take shape. The goal is to eventually get it sharpened into a clear one or two paragraph statement that can be used to begin to create a killer action plan that you can use to get Cleats in the turf and move your way down the field.

The next step with Clarity is consistency. Have you ever been to someone’s blog or Facebook Page and they’re talking about one thing one day like how to make your life better, but the next day they’re talking about their kids, then pictures of their food at a restaurant, and then you’re blitzed with their pictures of their European vacation?

You’re not sure what in the heck they’re even talking about. It lacks Focus, Consistency, and Clarity.

You originally went to their blog or Facebook Page for help or information about a particular subject. That’s why you liked them.

When you listen to a particular radio station you’re listening for a particular style of music. What if your country music station kept randomly playing classical, or acid rock?

You’d get pretty tired of not knowing what they’re even talking about and of seeing posts that aren’t even of interest to you. It’s so confusing.

“Clarity attracts, confusion repels,” Kary Oberbrunner.

People naturally are looking for Clarity. What kind of message are you sending to yourself? What kind of message are you sending to others? Is it clear or confusing?

In 2005 an author called, Peter Montoya wrote a book by the name of, “The Brand Called You: Make Your Business Stand Out in a Crowded Marketplace.”

In it he makes clear the truth that you are your own brand. You don’t have to be building a business for his book to be helpful. The same principles he teaches can help you create any clear result you’re looking for. Even a great relationship or a dream job.
